Aliko Dangote

Aliko Dangote from Nigeria is a well-known entrepreneur who founded the Dangote Group, which is now one of the largest conglomerates in Africa.  The enterprise started as a small trading firm and now dominates the cement market with operations in over 10 African countries.

His entrepreneurial journey is a great example of growth and vertical integration – buying organisations[ in the supply chain to maximise efficiency and profitability.
