Airbnb – a worldwide accommodation booking site - uses PPC campaign as it works in a competitive market, and it needs to attract travellers and accommodation hosts.

 

Using:

·        targeted keyword research, it identified high converting keywords relating to travel, such as ‘cheap vacation rentals.

·        geographic targeting, it identified specific regions with high demand for travel.

·        retargeting campaigns (using cookies), they targeted users who had visited the website, but did not book a listing.

 

Results:

·        Increased traffic by 25% during[RC1] [GH2]  key booking seasons

·        Higher conversion rates with an improvement of 15%

·        Cost efficiency of cost per click by 20%

·        Improved ROI - for every dollar spent Airbnb saw an estimated ROI of 400%.
